I can only think of one other thing that might have driven Sterns to kill Maddie - she had recently stopped taking her meds. She’s described as doing much better after she went off them. One thing about people who are functioning better - they are more inclined to say no, more inclined to report abuse. I have wondered if the medication served a dual purpose. Having said that, this is 2024 so there might be something we can’t think of (maybe she tossed his favorite tomagachi into the toilet).

I been keeping up with it since the beginning when Maddie was missing, and I tell you the first interview I saw I knew the stepfather was responsible and the feeling I got from Jenn Soto made my stomach hurt. The more details I’ve heard about this case the more I am convinced that the mom knew what was going on. I’ve worked with children for years and I can tell you even though I don’t have children of my own I can tell when there’s any sort of changes in the children I take care of. The lack of care this mother had is unbelievable. My theory aside from the fact that Stephen’s depravity was getting insatiable Maddie was getting older and tired; and I believe she said NO MORE and threaten him that she was going to tell and that’s the reason why he killed her. He was afraid she would speak up. Rest in peace to Maddie and I hope justice is served.

Do people forget how biology works. She was having relations man woman relation with this men. Some women get S S by a stranger one time and get pregnant. The chances that she was pregnant is high. How is it that reporting that she was pregnant more disrespectful than reporting she was SA in every way possible all port of entry were SA according to the documents but to report she was pregnant is a misery. Florida will not release that information if she was prego and a minor. It is protected by the state of Florida. You may correct me if I’m wrong, respectfully though. It does make sense that she could have been because it would depend on how far she was. Some laws dont count a fetus as a life until a certain stage of pregnancy. So if she was but not that far in the pregnancy they could not charge him for its death... however, it doesnt make it untrue nor the pregnancy not real. Just saying, but im not sure what flordia law says.

Hi. I have listened to various reports about this really sad case. He disgusts me. I have wondered ( something he said about ' helping Maddie with her meds as part of her bedtime routine'. I wondered if he was ensuring Maddie was incapacitated with medication. But what if Maddie refused meds or pretended to take meds that night... so that when he proceeded with his usual a**** she was aware and fought him off. What if at that point she said she would report him ? That could have triggered him to silence her.... perhaps. There was some mention from a friend or from school that she was not taking meds and she felt better and less tired...

Grooming started at six yes mostly at night and she was routinely drugged. The videos the police say show Maddie looks like she was drugged usually.

I think it’s a combination of both if she indeed told her friend that she did not have her period in December. It’s not that hard nowadays for children to look things up on the Internet and kids even at the age of 13 are very smart. I don't believe that she was pregnant, my theory is that she thought she "loved" her abuser, that he loved her & going by the whole 13 & living in the wood's was a clue that she will not be around her friend's from 13. I feel she was promised by SS that when she was 13 they could "be together". Perhaps Stephan and Maddie thought she was pregnant, but didnt get the results to confirm before he unalived her. Perhaps she hung it over his head she missed her period and it scared him. I do not think she was pregnant, I think detectives would have informed us about this once her autopsy came back. Maybe she thought she was, but wasnt sure......

Sorry but I dont agree about her bio Dad being guilty. He tried to spend time with her daughter but Jenn kept her from spending time with her. Maddie dont even have her father's last name. Her Father is in the military and service members dont make alot of money and they have to follow orders. I believe it was parental allignation specially in Florida alot of Fathers get treated like 2nd class citizens in court. No one from Maddies closed family and friends didnt know what was going on.

I don't think Maddie was pregnant, I think Stephen drugged her and this time she snapped out of it, or it didn't work, maybe she pretended to take them and he freaked out mid-way through the abuse. Not sure of the evidence found for the abuse on that final night, did he finish? There were comments right from the start that Maddie had quit taking her medication that might have been to friends? and another comment that Stephen had given her the night time medication getting ready for bed before Jen had got home. Haven't seen any of the photos or videos, some say she is awake and some asleep.. I think she was always drugged. and I think Jen is really that stupid and naive that's how she comes across to me anyway. Cheers
